Finally, I met her

Few years now, I have been a crazy fan of Nikita Singh, but meeting her was like a nine eve dream. It was just that I didn’t have the strength to turn this idealistic hope into reality. But by fortune, maybe god’s grace, I got the chance.
She visited India for the tour of her new book “LIKE A LOVE SONG” (Go and grab it, or order it from here http://www.amazon.in/Like-Love-Song-Nikita-Singh/dp/9351778037/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1459608827&sr=8-1&keywords=like+a+love+song) for three weeks, and luckily Delhi was in. Well I got blissful to my lees. She was to visit Delhi by 28 March. But days later I was dazed to see that the venue has changed and she’ll be visiting Delhi by 30th March, well this came like a volt to me. My chance of seeing her was delayed by 2 more days which was exceedingly dire. But still calming myself, I spoke “waited years, 2 more extra days is not a big deal”
30th March
Like a Love song by Nikita Singh
So the day arrived when the blessing showered upon me, couldn’t sleep last night due to extra work and maybe out of excitement. There was a stack of work to do but couldn’t ponder in. and I also had to craft video for my YouTube channel. I couldn’t think of any idea for my video, but the bulb glowed. I thought of promoting the new book of Nikita Singh in my new video, so I needed a minute clip where she would be talking herself in the video but I felt that impossible to dig up. Still had faith, because faith has always been my strongest suit.
6:00 PM: Reached Costa Coffee. As I crossed the threshold, my hope of making a video crawled down. My eyes fell on the hefty people who came on the launch, the seats were full. Only thing I wished now was for a selfie. I took the last seat at the corner. My eyes were probing for the glimpse of Nikita Singh. And then I saw her sitting inside, my jaws fall in, eyes plunged out. I started to freak out. My two friends who came with me started holding me as I was not still. I took the pre ordered book that I had for the autograph and scampered towards her, but a lady in black came in my way like a Men in Black agent. She stood like wall made of Ambhuja cement. I tried hard but she had a will of fire. And I returned back to my seat with a gloomy heart.

Finally, the event kicked off, and the most embarrassing moment for me too. So the editor introduced Nikita and asked everyone to say hi. But there was none who did say hi, and I was the only one screaming hi. I shouted “Hi, Hi over here” and everybody stared at me with a look of disappointment. I just proved myself to be a douchebag. But still I patted myself saying “Let it go, let it go. Look there’s Nikita Singh. Forget everything.” And the program went on. And so the questioning from the audience started and I was so unlucky that I couldn’t get hold of the mike. Futile questions are what I could hear asking shits like views on Pandya, or someone calling maal. Well come-on you’re talking to a writer, ask something relevant questions. I had like tons of questions and not a single could I ask.
Finally everything over, and everyone ready to get their autograph and photograph.
After fighting battle of ages, I reached her and took her autograph. I thought about the video and thought of asking her, but deep inside fear remains, fear of getting the answer no. but still I drank courage to my lees. I asked and surprisingly she said yes. She was so kind and polite but then I realized, well she was the follower of Sri Sri Paramhansa Yogananda. And it was obvious for her to be so gracious. Successful people are really always down to earth. I was a double fan of her, but now I became double x infinity fan.
So I got the video, even a picture with her, which was far better than selfie, and the glee of meeting her is still on the go.

Fan with Nikita Singh (author of nine books)
I returned and wrote poetry for her on my blog( http://jebilionverse.blogspot.in/2016/04/girl-of-steel.html))
. And now I hope that next time I meet her, it won’t be a writer and a fan’s meet but a meeting which will be called two writers meet.

The time I met Nikita Singh.
